Some ride leaders will ride on very cold, very hot or very windy days - some will not. Ride leaders may cancel, shorten or otherwise vary a scheduled ride based on road or weather conditions at ride time. Don't be disappointed! If in doubt, please call the ride leader in advance.

I've just received this via email:
Hi All! After riding 32 miles around Somerset County this afternoon, I remembered seeing the mail carrier pulling up when left at 1:30 PM. Too bad I did not wait to check what arrived until my return at 3:20 PM. Of course the most important thing that I needed today was to look at my mail and skip the ride. The attached letter, process overview and schedule was in my mail! The letter is dated 09/14 (Mon), was meter postmarked 09/16 and arrive today, 09/17 (Thur). I would appreciate if you all could get the word out to all interested organizations and cycling clubs, because a large turn out of experts who really represent people is better than this lone, bone weary voice. I will be duplicating this announcement to various clubs in the area as well, so please pardon any duplication. Your early support for this project has already caught the attention of the GSA Ad Hoc Committee. Anthony Ferrara (Twp Committeeman and Mt Biker) bumped into each other over Labor Day Weekend. He met with county reps and has already gotten positive feed back for "at least a BMX" venue at the park. That is nice, but I think we need more. How much more will depend on what you folks do now. Hope to see you all next week, Michael Izzo Web Master - Hillsborough Velodrome There is more information here, here and here. |
