Loosely following the M25 around London by bridleway, byway, tow path, country lane and cycle path. Two days' riding, with a wild bivvy half way around.
Meet at a secret location near Epping Forest, Friday night 12th July. We'll camp the night there then put any bulky or heavy camping gear away in cars before we head off riding, taking just bivvy kit with us for the Sat night.
It's clockwise this year, so we'll head off west through Essex, cross the Thames at Dartford, then through Surrey to our bivvy spot. Sunday we continue round through Berks, Bucks and Herts until we arrive back at the start. We'll occasionally pass convenience stores, pubs and cafes but best to bring snacking food with you. How long we have to linger at stops will depend on the rate of progress we make. It's a no-drop ride, and we'll wait at every track split or turn-off to ensure that no-one goes the wrong way.
Expect nettles, thorns, dogs, horse manure and mud. Designed and proven to be rideable on a gravel bike in the dry. Bring a sense of humour if it's wet.
